As part of an on-going music and landscape collaborative project, my sister, Claire McCahan and I applied to the Mix-Tape Recital Competition and were awarded a grant of $1,000 to assist in the production of a music and workshop series in February, 2023.
The project, titled, “Wheel of the Year: Cycles of Nature and Song” imagines a series of events that are both workshop and performance, recital and guided experience, music and landscape. Each event is curated to reflect the particularities of the season and includes a program of group singing, classical performance, folk music, outdoor exploration, and guided mindfulness work.
